MFM Open House

On February 23, 2006 the Sioux Valley Clinic celebrated the opening of the new Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic on the Sioux Valley Campus. The clinic opened its doors to patients in mid-September and has already seen over 2600 patients. The MFM clinic was made for room to grow. Currently, the clinic has two perinatologists, three nurse midwives, two genetic counselors, six ultrasound rooms and a non-stress test center. In the spring of 2007, the MFM clinic will grow by one perinatologist and our vision is to have four perinatologists in the future.

The MFM clinic was created for high risk obstetric patients from Sioux Falls and the surrounding region. Some of our patients come from the Sioux Valley Clinics, but the majority of our patients are from outside referrals. The clinic's goal is assist family practioners and obstetricians in the care of their patients.
